GOVERNANCE TRAINING SESSIONS

Governance Matters is a series of FREE Zoom sessions focused on governance principles for boards or committees of NFP organisations in New Zealand.

Many volunteer members of committees or boards struggle to find the time to develop their skills in governance or have topics they would like to explore further but can’t devote a whole or half day to attending a workshop. These workshops are designed to be delivered in 1-1.5-hour sessions on very specific topics. Participants can attend one or more as needed. Each workshop will give basic principles and provide time for questions.
The Incorporated Societies Act Changes: Re-register or risk closure: What your society needs to do now.

Overview
Are you an incorporated society or association?
Did you know the new Incorporated Societies Act has come into force?
Membership societies and associations will need to decide if they wish to re-register as an incorporated society under the new act by 5 April 2026 or risk your society ceasing to exist.
The process for change requires consultation with your members, so it can take some time to go through the re-registration preparation.
Join us at this online session to find out what you need to know for this transition and how to get your decision process moving.
Liift is designed to assist your organisation in building capability, developing and strengthening leadership, and supporting you and your team to be adaptive and resilient in a changing environment. ANCAD brings in qualified consultants to mentor your Managers, CEOs and Governance Board/Committee members in various aspects of capability building from good governance, leadership, fundraising and marketing, to financial management and strategic planning.
