From Feedback to Learning:
Strengthening Impact and Sustainability

Many community organisations are working hard to make a difference, but how do they know whether they are truly fulfilling their mission and vision? While feedback, surveys, programme data, and community insights are often collected, many organisations struggle to turn this information into meaningful learning, better decision-making, and long-term improvement.

This practical workshop explores how organisations can become stronger learning organisations by valuing feedback, engaging staff and stakeholders in reflection, and using what they learn to guide future action.

Participants will explore practical frameworks and approaches used within Aotearoa to gather meaningful feedback, assess impact, and identify opportunities for growth.

Rather than viewing evaluation as a reporting requirement, this workshop positions it as an ongoing process of learning that strengthens leadership, informs strategy, builds organisational capacity, and supports long-term sustainability.

Participants will leave with practical tools and ideas to help their organisations better understand their impact and use that knowledge to create positive change.

  • Managers and team leaders.

  • CEOs and senior staff.

  • Programme and project coordinators.

  • Volunteer managers.
