LiiFT FACILITATION
Supporting boards and teams to think clearly, together

What is LiiFT Facilitation?

Some organisational challenges can’t be solved through training alone.
LiiFT Facilitation supports boards, leaders, and teams to work through complex issues together – building shared understanding, clarity, and alignment.
Facilitated sessions are particularly useful when organisations are:
-
Navigating change or uncertainty.
-
Facing stuck or circular conversations.
-
Strengthening governance or leadership dynamics.
-
Resetting strategy or direction.
-
Working across roles, cultures, or perspectives.

LiiFT Facilitation sits within ANCAD’s broader capability-building framework and is tailored to each organisation’s context and stage.
How facilitation works within LiiFT

Facilitation is different from training. Rather than focusing on content delivery, facilitated sessions are designed to:
-
Slow thinking down so groups can think better.
-
Surface assumptions and different perspectives.
-
Ensure every voice is heard.
-
Move from individual views to shared understanding.
Facilitation may be used on its own, or alongside LiiFT learning sessions, advisory support, or resources.

LEGO® Serious Play®

LEGO® Serious Play® as a facilitation method

Where appropriate, LiiFT Facilitation includes the use of LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP).
LSP is a facilitated method used internationally with boards, leadership teams, and organisations working in complex or uncertain environments.
Rather than relying on discussion alone, participants use hands-on modelling to explore ideas, make abstract issues visible, and build shared understanding.
LSP is particularly effective for:
-
Strategy and future planning.
-
Governance and leadership reflection.
-
Culture and values conversations.
-
Collaboration and partnership challenges.
-
Organisational renewal and reset.
When LEGO® Serious Play® is (and isn’t) used

LSP is not used for:
-
Compliance training.
-
Technical or information-heavy sessions.
-
Large lecture-style workshops.

It is used when:
-
Deeper thinking is needed.
-
Conversation alone isn’t enough.
-
Alignment and insight matter more than quick answers.
All LSP sessions are delivered by an officially trained and certified LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator, ensuring the integrity of the method.
