Receive professional development around a 'Topic of the Day' from top, professional consultants/facilitators as well as connect with and talk with other community leaders in break-out rooms. Topics will vary across the year. Discuss issues/topics of importance to you.

Life Stages of an Organisation

“Like people, organisations have life cycles. It has been well evidence in research that as an organisation matures certain patterns emerge.”

Judith Sharken Simon provides us with a framework that is incredibly helpful in looking at our organisations – not linear in there presence but often existing alongside each other.

The Life Cycles she has identified are:

• Imagine and Inspire.

• Found and Frame.

• Ground and Grow.

• Produce and Sustain, and

• Revive and Renew.

 

The framework provides different questions, obstacles and opportunities in each stage that need addressing, focusing on Governance, Leadership, Finances & Administration, Services and Marketing.

 

We will look closely at this framework and provide opportunity for you to respond to the questions in each stage, enabling you to explore the stages your organisation is going through now, has been through in the past, and how to strengthen your reflective practice and leadership in the future.
