Sandy Thompson, LEAD

In this session we will cover

The Charities Amendment Bill is now before the Select Committee with submissions closing 10 November. The bill aims to modernise the charities sector by increasing transparency, improving access to justice services and reducing the red-tape that smaller charities face. It will require changes to charity reporting, compliance and governance.

You will learn:

  • about some of the key changes.

  • why it is important for charities.

  • how to have you say and contribute to the discussion; and

  • practical tips for writing a submission.

This session is also your opportunity to consider organisations collaborating on a joint submission.
